Why is it that almost every time I walk into the locker room at the gym, I am forced to see nudity? In the past, I have complained that it always seemed to be the women in their 80's that liked to walk around in the locker room air-drying after their water aerobics class. And these women sit their BARE rear-ends on the benches that other people set their belongings on. I have personally witnessed a poor, oblivious girl walking in and throwing her gym bag and towel down and a recently bare-bum occupied bench.
Somehow I convinced myself that wrinkled, sagging nudity is worse than the regular kind. But then I walked in there today to see a semi-young person walking around nude....and I realized that it's pretty much innapropriate for any age or body type. I mean...this lady was obviously proud of her body (especially her unquestionably fake breasts), but why did she feel the need to show US?! Why would she think a bunch of stay-at-home moms have any desire to see her NAKED?! I just don't get it. And frankly, it disgusts me.

Yeah, i agree...no one wants to see that...or set their gym bag down on butt residue!
A Japanese warm spring bath would cure you very quickly of your aversion to nudity!! I would go back there in a minute if I could...just ask Jess and Rikki. Sublime...........
eww...I don't really care about them walking around naked. I mean, I wouldn't do that myself, but sitting bare-butt on the bench is completely disgusting.
Just start using the men's locker rooms.

I couldn't have said it better and the exhibitionists are getting younger and younger. i just want to know what causes these people to lose all sense of shame. gross.
Lindsay - I definitely don't recommend a trip to the spa for you if you find this gross. Most of the time everyone at the spa is nude, in the jacuzzi, in the sauna, in the steamroom, etc. I was uncomfortable at first but now I'm sort of (and I think this is also happening as I am getting older) like "meh - don't care really". I think I see the body differently as I age.
Why do you assume her nudity is about YOU (exhibitionism)? Isnt it possible she is just changing/showering in a LOCKER room and is comfortable with herself (a good thing). Im not defending prolonged nudity or naked bench sitting, BUT I do find it hard to change or shower without getting nude for a few seconds
Its like a train wreck...you can't help but stare. Some people...how do they not have ANY physical insecurities? Maybe you should say something like, "you have the weirdest belly button I've ever seen" and that may temper her boldness. :)
I just thought of something even more gross...what if you saw a recently butt-marked bench and then saw another nudist sitting in the same spot? Sick.
Hello?! There's usually a rule about how you have to santitize and wipe down your machines after you use them in the gym. Oh and don't you know people will complain if you don't! Shouldn't there be a mandatory towel usage on the benches rule? That's how things get "passed" around, people; and I'm not talking about athlete's foot...EWWWW!

i agree. personally, i don't mind the nakey - as long as it's discrete. i go to the korean spa that's nearby. the spa separates (thank goodness) the girls and guys, and everyone carries hand towels to cover their parts. i can't count the number of times i've been to spas like this, actually going out of my way to visit them - not for the skin show, but for the soak. this makes me want to post about asian spas... -jess
she spent a lot of money on that image. i am sure she usees any kid of excise to show it off. I totally agree though. and that's disgusting about bare bums sitting on the bench that you stit on or sit your stuff on. gross. thanks for putting that image in my head.
Okay, the other day I walked into the gym locker room and a mid 50s age woman who was probably about 40 pounds overweight was blowdrying her hair completely topless... Yes, I said topless. And she was blowdrying her hair so there was a lot of shaking, swaying, and other movements I'm not quite sure how to describe. Yes, please people.. have some shame.
