Buxton Bag Marketing Geniuses

The other day we were in the car and Owen launched into this long description of a bag that I SO needed. It has a strap to go over my shoulder so no one can steal it. He also told me it had a hook for my keys so that I wouldn't have to dig in my purse for them anymore. He also told me that it had a special pocket for my phone and it was big enough to hold a water bottle and an umbrella. Then he said that it came in red or tan leather, and he re-emphasized the fact that nobody could steal it because of that shoulder strap. Nathan and I were crying from holding back laughter while we sat through this lengthy description. I couldn't believe he had been pulled in so easily by their marketing strategies.

Then today I was half asleep on the couch when I heard this commercial in the background and it sounded strangely familiar. I laughed so hard to see how spot on he was with his description! And he apparently watched the WHOLE thing to be able to see the color choices they offered. What a strange....I mean funny....kid.

Michael is constantly telling us about special deals that fast food restaurants are advertising. It seems like the only kind of commercials he pays attention to.

Uuuummmm....did you read running with scissors?

I'm not going to say anything else about that.

By the way, you never returned that to me.

lol...aren't they funny?? My kids have done that. But very clever of Owen to understand why you JUST had to have that purse...so it wouldn't get stolen. :)

I finally saw the commercial, thinking that the name Buxton rang a bell, but not remembering just where I'd heard about it. Matt clued me in. "The Nuclear Family blog!" So there you go. I now know what a Buxton Bag is, and you now know that Matt reads your blog. So, if you could start blogging about cars and gadgets, that would be appreciated. ;-)
